1. Boil it in the traditional way, called a decoction. 1 teaspoon of herb per two cups of water, brought to a low boil and simmered in a covered pot for about 20 minutes. Why not prepared/steeped like a regular tea? The goodness in astragalus, qualities like immune modulating polysaccharides, need more work to liberate into the water so we can drink them. A simple steep will not do that.
2. A little easier you say? Sure! Add these drops to a drink or a little water. To make them I combine astragalus decoction (in the process above but more concentrated) and combine them with an alcohol extract of astragalus for a robust extract. And it has a long shelf life!
